Every time I open PowerPoint, a window with the following message appears: “C:\Program Files\Avast Software\Avast\aswhook.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc0000428.” This does not appear with any other Office application, including Word and Excel. I removed the free version of Avast from my computer, restarted it, then downloaded and installed Avast Free again. Nothing changed. That message window still pops up on PowerPoint.
Having the same error trying to run DISM in Powershell.
Same Here! I guess the issue connects to Win11 24H2 and the updates. Even uninstall and re-install AVAST fee, the issue remains.
This issue has come in some point of time, so I’m doubting the Windows Updates.
I put commands; DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth, DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth, sfc /scannow,
in a .bat file. When run the bat file, it gets following error in a pop up window.
C:\Program Files\Avast Software\Avast\aswhook.dll is either not
designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try
installing the program again using the original installation
media or contact your system administrator or the software
vendor for support. Error status 0xc0000428.
As the result running bat file, the first DISM command gets stuck!
Other .bat files work fine at all.
Same here…dont know what to do
