I didn’t do a search to see if anyone posted this, but on windows 8 when trying to open 7zip self extracting files avast causes them to hang up and either close the application or when the password is entered the contents will not be extracted. The program must be disabled when dealing with 7zip self extracting files. When trying to delete these files after avast does this it says the file is opened in ‘system’ and it can’t be deleted until the system is rebooted.
Are these personal archive files or software installation files?
