Can I run both of these applications without problems? PS: I’m also asking the same question of Webroot.
Thanks,

Hi,
It is not recommended to have more than one security software in the computer at the same time. Presence of multiple security can cause conflicts in your computer which will seriously compromise your computer’s performance. Hope you got our point.
Have a wonderful day. Good Karma!
If it is Spy Sweeper alone and not the later product Webroot® SecureAnywhere™ AntiVirus, you will probably fine as it would be no different to using another anti-spyware (even resident, not just on-demand) with avast and there are few instances of any issues.
The main concern is excluding some files/folders to avoid direct conflict.
That said I have heard many opinions that spy sweeper is somewhat heavy on resources (though I don’t know what the latest version is like). I would imaging that if you address this in their forum they would try to steer you towards the new product (mentioned above), as it looks like they are trying to phase out spy sweeper…
I would suggest either MBAM Pro (one off payment not annual license like spy sweeper) or MBAM free (on-demand only) Or SuperAntiSpyware (SAS) Pro (same one off payment and info on usage as MBAM) or MBAM free (on-demand only).
Jbacinti.
I ran SS in my comp for almost 5 years in conjuction with Avast without any ill effects. Nice combo. As a matter of fact SS took less resources than SuperAntiSpyware that I am using now. However, like DavidR said you have to make sure it is only the antispyware you are using and not the antivirus version.
SS has a help team, but for e-mail ticket support. They usually answer promptly any request. Unfortunately they do not have an official forum >:(
