Avast and Zone Alarm Pro

I just installled Zone Alarm Pro and got a message from Avast about compatability issues with the web shield I chose “yes” to disable the web shield in Avast. I have 2 questions

  1. What does disabling the web shield do?

Does Avast reccomend a firewall that works well with Avast??

You would be better off disabling the privacy protection in ZA and enabling webshield you will then have better protection… The problem is with ZA and not Avast

Would you be able to tell me how I disable privacy protection in ZA and enabling webshield in Avast

I’d rather choose a better compatible Firewall like Comodo 3 Personal Firewall or the easier to use PCTools plus firewall. They are Vista compatible and don’t interfere with AVAST. 8)

ZA Pro has a tab of settings for privacy protection, you can disable it there.
avast WebShield is enabled by default, you don’t have to change anything.
