I am a new Avast paid user. I have two email accounts with my ISP which open within Windows Live. Why does my antispam function in Avast not work? Obvious emails are still posted instead of shunted over to the junk or spam folders…and even when I went into the “Block” screen and manually entered some of these unwanted spams, Avast now labels these emails as SPAM but still does not block them. They still show up in my inbox…and I have to delete them manually. I don’t have Outlook; only two ISP email addresses and accounts that operate within Windows Live Mail program. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks. I do have Windows 7 and IE9 Beta.
The automatic “move to spam/junk” folder only work if you use Outlook.
But as long as avast is marking the junk mail with SPAM then you are on the right way
No you have to make/use rules in your mail client, like i do in Outlook Express. You will find this settings under tools
