Avast AntiTrack does not detect browser

Proposed browser is internet explorer (no longer supported) Actual default browser is avast secure browser. Antitrack premium does not see that. not very re-assuring about the product!!!

Is Internet Explorer even supported by Microsoft ?
I don’t use IE or Avast AntiTrack, so I can’t speak from personal experience.

I rather doubt it, given that MS now use Edge as their browser and that is chromium based.

However this Avast AntiTrack FAQ might help - https://support.avast.com/en-gb/article/antitrack-faq/#pc

Bonjour David,
I was aware that IE is no longer supported by MS which added more to my astonishment that antitrtack detected it. I always thought Avast had good security software but such results from one of your products makes me doubt

First I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member, so I can’t speak for them.

Also not using AntiTrack I don’t have personal experience of it, but given your post I wonder if it is browser dependant or not.

It may be worth browsing the AntiTrack sub-forum - Avast AntiTrack - Avast Community

Thank you, for replying. I recently switch from Chrome to Avast secure browser and it being an avast product itself, I expected antitrack would detect it. Can you please direct me to somewhere or somebody who can answer my concerns.

Unfortunately not directly and related to your issue.

That’s why I suggested browsing the old topic in this sub-forum to see if anyone else has experienced this.

Or the Avast Secure Browser for Windows sub-forum.
