hi can anyone tell me when will Avast Antivirus 5.0 full version available
When it’s ready. 
Looking at the picture that keep popping up unfortunately tells me that it’s not quite ready for release. 
This is not problem of the program but of the website, when the new web will be completely at our servers & you’ll have the gold version (build 377), it will be OK.

The English and French versions only, are available for now I believe others to follow in the coming weeks.
I don’t know what that schedule will be or what language order will be, but with 100 million plus users they will have to introduce it progressively to balance load on servers, etc.

Realy liking well this new version, i only got 1 question.
On-Scanner WebShield, where is the URL Blocking feature? (could be URLs to exclude? if that means blocking…)
There is no URL blocking in the 5.0 anti-virus application, it is only in the firewall of the AIS (paid version).
I do not know about the Free version, but this is also available in the Pro version of Web Shield.

CharleyO, that is an Exclusion, which is the opposite to URL Blocking.
The Exclusion function is if you read the text:
“Use the controls below to define which items should be excluded from Web Shield scanning.”

Easily done, I never really had a use for the URL Blocking in 4.8.
