Avast Antivirus Blocked by group policy

Hello people,

I need your help! I just tried to run Avast Antivirus and a message says “This programme is blocked by group policy…”
I tried to read similar threads and solve the issue by myself but since I am not really good with antivirus programmes I couldn’t do anything…

Could someone please help me out and explain the process nice and easy so I understand what to do?

Thanks in advance!

See instructions here https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0
Attach Malwarebytes and Farbar Recovery Scan Tool logs

Hi, so here’s the logs!

Your malwarebytes log say … no action taken … did you not select all that crap for removal and click remove selected?

Malware removal experts are in bed now so check back tomorrow

I did select ‘remove’ but I did not restart my laptop. I’ll try again and post it in a bit

Just clicking remove will not remove the crap if not selected…
PUP are not default selected for removal, but you can do that https://blog.malwarebytes.org/news/2013/09/selecting-all-pups/

Picture is from previous mbam version…

Hey,
So, I did the scanning again and now it says No malicious items detected. Here you can find attached the updated logs.

Hope it works now so you can find the solution.

Sadly, it looks as if you have a rootkit named ZeroAccess.

Your issue is here:

Remover Notified.

Do me a favour. I am assuming you attend school and/or work. Go to a Work/School owned computer and changed all of your passwords and banking info.

hmm it looks quite serious… I tried to uninstall Avast so I can download a new antivirus programme but it won’t let me. Anything I can do about this?

Also, I am on an internet network shared by many. Any chance this can cause me further problems? What do you suggest?

Let me guess, pops up saying something along the effects of “This site would’ve caused you harm”?

Yeah, standard ZeroAccess Bull*

I’d wait for help. I’m sure anything you attmpt to install will be blacklisted pretty much then by the infection.

What’s HP_ActiveX_Patch_NOT_DETECTED you mentioned above? Should I delete it?

Nope, this fix will cure most of your ills

CAUTION : This fix is only valid for this specific machine, using it on another may break your computer

Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into it:
