Does anybody in here ever met the same problem with our customer?
The customer have Microsoft OCS server on their site, and when their client want to login through the web either by notebook or handheld.
And this happened when the avast! antivirus services was up.
Some labs has been tried, when the admin only turn on the standard shield feature and intermitten troublehooting happened. Around 30% of OEDGE client failed to login thru their web login.
But if the administrator turn off the webshield or network shield then the OEDGE client won’t be able to login.
According to OCS log history, this happened causing by antivirus service which break the client links.
As we knew that avast won’t blocked anything since in avast 4.8 doesn’t have firewall feature.
From event viewer of ADNM got notifications : Function setifaceUpdatePackages() has failed. Return code is 0x20000004, dwRes is 20000004
Some parameter notification from user which didn’t able to login were : internal server error and looping to re-connecting to server (OCS Server)
There is an error notification at user communicator were : service manager is being disabled by firewall or antivirus and find the host but could not communicate to host
I am not sure what is the particular caused of this error, but according to the client information that MS Edge Server not compatible with any AV which doesn’t support for Exchange Edge Server broadcast.
Is it true that avast not support Exchange Edge Server broadcast?
