Version 5 is really great, but is it too good? reason why i ask is anything new that is going to be added now the free will start to lack and only the paid will get the new stuff such as features etc.

Depends… but I think things only get better, not worse.
Do you miss any feature on 5.0 Free?
It is absolutely pointless to speculate, enjoy what you have and if you find in the future that changes you can always buy the Pro version or go looking for another AV, that choice is always open to you, so as I said to speculate really is a waste of time.
avast has had a free version that has been every bit as good as many paid AV options for many, many years and I don’t see that changing in a hurry. If it ever happens then is your time to consider your options.
I had also used free for a few years. Within the last 2-3 years I started buying Pro to support avast more because I knew I was getting the same level of support and same protection minus the additional features.
It just made sense to me I was already getting a great product I knew I would get what I paid for as well as securing the future of avast protecting my system.
