Avast internet security (paid version) just recently sent a file to the Avast virus labs for analysis, because when I tried to run the program Avast said I found a ‘rare?’ file and it was being sent to the virus labs, I’ve been in contact with the program’s developer and was assured there is nothing wrong with the program, the file that was sent to the lab was called ‘podium.exe’ it is the main file for a Digital Audio Workstation, now the thing is, I was using a previous version (3.2.7) for a year or so, and no warnings from Avast, but as soon as I updated the Podium software to 3.3.0, the installation was fine, but when I ran the program from the desktop icon, that’s when Avast decided to interrupt it and send it off to Avast virus labs, so, without disabling all the shields, Avast will not let me continue until a response has been received.
Oh, the trigger did not happen from a long installed windows (which could mean a previous infection), but, a few days a go, my HD took a nose dive (being that it was the original since 2016) and had a new HD installed, I then re-installed a clean Windows 10 (build 1803), then installed Avast, then installed Podium from a fresh download from their site.
There is no problems with other software.
