Just that I cannot restore neither an app or its settings, together or alone.

hm did not see that up to now. problem is that rooted things sometimes behave differently and maybe app has somewhat special structure.
Support for backup problems is a joke…funny to some but I am not smiling! >:(
Can we get a log to know which app is causing this?
