Avast backup und re-install

Hi,

I would like to deinstall and then install again, but want before to backup settings, exeptions, files …
Shall Avast-settings-troubleshooting-backup save ALL this? Or if not, what does is then save - only the settings?

Is there a avast removal tool?

should i run the removal tool first or uninstall via Windows Program Unistall?

  1. Download Avast Free Antivirus: https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_free_antivirus_setup_offline.exe
  2. Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed Avast versions…!!)
  3. Reinstall Avast with the downloaded installer from point 1.
  4. Reboot.
