Avast blocked by group policy... please help.

My computer started running extremely slow about 2 days ago, and I always have a bunch of COM Surrogate, and other stuff taking up a ton of my memory when I go to task manager. Today I finally had the time to run the antivirus, however, when I went to open avast I was told that it is blocked by group policy. I’ve been looking online for solutions, but all the ones I find state that that particular solution will only work for that specific machine, and might break mine, so I decided to start my own thread. Please help me out!

Alrighty, I just ran MBAM, and am still having issues, this is the log from that, and I’m following the steps on the post which was linked in the previous comment.

And these are the logs from FRST

After the FRST reboot Avast should work

CAUTION : This fix is only valid for this specific machine, using it on another may break your computer

Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into it:

Save this as fixlist.txt, in the same location as FRST.exe

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/73555776/FRSTfix.JPG

Run FRST and press Fix
On completion a log will be generated please post that

THEN

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.

[*]Close all open programs and internet browsers.
[*]Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
[*]Click on Scan.
[*]After the scan is complete click on “Clean”
[*]Confirm each time with Ok.
[*]Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart.
[*]Please post the content of that logfile with your next answer.
[*]You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt as well.

Awesome, that did the trick! Also, when I tried scanning with aswMBR, it would get to a certain point and then basically freeze. First time my computer blue screened, 2nd and 3rd time I saved the logs and waited but it didn’t go anywhere. Anyways, I’ll attack the logs from aswMBR, in case they’re of any use to anyone, and I’ll attach the fix log. It seems like the processes which I think caused this issue in the first place are no longer in task manager, but I’m going to do a full system scan with avast just in case to be sure. Thanks a ton for all the help!

You have a little adware as well so we will clear that up next
