I had the exact same problem a couple of days ago: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=324619.0
Solution: Turn off all Avast shields and go to your Spam box, Select all and Delete Forever.
Do the same with your Bin.
Turn shields back on again.
This is what worked for me.
Best of luck, Will.
I hope that it’s resolved.
My experience was identical in that I thought the problem had gone but then it came back again.
At least now you know what to do if it reappears.
Cheers, Will.
Hello,
I’ve come up with the solution by setting up Outlook (Thunderbird or other clients should work also.) and logging in to my Gmail account. During the indexing of the e-mails number of alerts were reported and moved to quarantine. In quarantine, I’ve found e-mails from one domain. Then I just ensured that no other messages were marked as “VIRUS” in the mailbox. Since then it has been working fine.
It is a pity that Avast browser shield does not provide better information on which e-mails are the problem, but it is a different technology than mail scan
I need your help. I began having problems accesing mail.google.com on the firefox browser (115.03 version)
The first time that I try to access to my gmail acccount it throws temporal error try again.
If i try again I access ok to my gmail account.
If I turn off the web shield I access ok for the first time.
Always the problem is only the first time I try to access (it delays in the check of google workspace). Then the next acceses go ok.
The next day occurs the same problem.
I also put the google mail page as an exception but didn´t resolve the problem.
If you can help me I will be very grateful.
Thanks a lot!!
