I have been using Avast Free version for a while without any problems until today it blocked me to read my emails from my Hotmail accounts. The emails I had received were from known people, but Avast says it blocked a script and … A new page opens in my browser from Avast.com explaining short about the reason for blocking me to read my emails but many reasons why I should increase my protection by switching to a paid version!
Anyone has an idea how to let Avast Free to accept my Hotmail page???
The same thing is happening to me. Avast is blocking my hotmail account.
I can not even enter Hotmail through IE 10 because of a missing Java script, but can enter Firefox but unable to read my emails!
How long will it take to correct this failure?
I am glad I am not the only one experiencing problems… I have now lost all of my stored emails within files and I have also been unable to access my Skype account too. I even attempted to open a new Hotmail/Outlook account without success… still blocked as a malicious programme.
This really is an unacceptable state of affairs… I do hope this is rectified soon.
It should be fixed now.

Found a way to bypass this:
Go to Avast program
Settings → Global exclusions → press urls tab → add www.mail.live.com
Now I can read my emails, but I hope Avast correct this.
