avast & blue screen

Hi guys
I use the free version of Avast (7)
In the last few days, all our systems have become troublesome, and after the blue screen appears, the system resets.
The problem was solved by removing Avast from the safe mod.
Does anyone have any solution to this problem?

os: win7 ultimate & win xp

thanks

Avast 7 or is that a typo?

;D
avast ver 7.0.1474

Upgrade to the latest version.

My hardware is a bit weak, and higher version slow down the performance of the system
Really not a way :frowning:

As version 7 is unsupported you don’t have much choice, either upgrade to the latest version and remove unwanted components or move to another AV.

:-
thanks
I’m downloading it

Moving to another AV isn’t going to help. If they find one that offers as much protection, it will require just as much or more system resources as Avast.

Remember to use custom install, easier way to install only what’s needed rather than remove later.

Of course it can, Avast isn’t the be all that ends all ::slight_smile: If Avast isn’t compatible with someone’s system and they need to try something else there are other options, Kaspersky free for one! is much lighter than Avast as is Bitdefender free, though options will be reduced but that doesn’t always matter as long as protection is good

I believe my reply stated “If they find one that offers as much protection”

And they do, they offer the same protection as the paid versions and tests score them higher in protection than Avast.

I have trust Avast and do not use any other antivirus
But I was looking for a solution to the problem
Due to the lack of Internet, I have to download the installation file and update it later
Is this site valid for download:

That is still not the latest version which can be found here on the forum https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=208020.0

My antivirus itself had suggested this version

I’m guessing that since your AV is years out of date then so are it’s suggestions

Yes you are right
But I always updated it
Unfortunately, the new versions are not compatible with my systems ::slight_smile:
thanks all for their guidance

Did you try clean reinstall of Avast? Try it if you want to stay with v7.

Yes many times
With several distinct systems!
But every time after the update, the problem was created. The system did not come up or the blue screen was displayed and system need to restart

Strange, then try v8.0.1497 (md5: 4460C6E048EF955C9CDF19458AFF98A8), you can find it on filehorse.com.
