Avast browser keep hijacking Windows10 default browser setting

As per the subject line Avast Browser has twice now hijacked my default browser setting in Windows 10. I don’t know how it became my default browser in the first place. I set it back to Chrome and the next time I used Avast Browser the notification came up to make it my default browser. I ignored this a couple of times then the next time I clicked on the cross to close the notification. And once again Avast is back as my default browser.

Dear Avast - your software has been getting more and more invasive and intrusive, and hijacking defaults is just getting beyond acceptable now. I used to hold your brand in fairly high regard but my view of you and your products is becoming pretty terrible. Shame on you.

ASB only becomes you default it you allow it to do so.
If you’re using ASB and it’s not your default, it will ask to become your default.
If that’s not what you want, then just close that box.
I personally have had ASB as my default for a while already.
Your computer, your choice.
