Browser doesn’t run. Browser had been running fine until last Friday. It Clears screen but does not open. Support re-installed it Friday and it worked for one day, now failing same way again - clear screen then closes. Different Support person now claims failure because I’m also running Malwarebytes, Superantispyware and Avast Premium Security. I’ve been running that combination for years without problem (Malwarebytes not registered in Windows Security Center). And there’s no way that a browser should care about the anti-viruses that I’m running.
Has anyone had a similar failure with the Avast browser?

The browser is still set as default. When I clicked on an email link, the Avast browser opened up. I can go to anything in my bookmarks and it will work. So much for the anti-virus conflict nonsense. However, I still cannot initiate the browser from my shortcut. I’ve set up shortcuts to various pages so when click one of them the browser opens as it’s the default. So I will ask if anyone has seens this problem.

I haven’t had the time to push Avast support to retract the multiple anti-virus nonsense and address the problem. For now what I’ve done is set up shortcuts to websites. When I click on one of them, Avast browser open at that site because I still have Avast browser as the default browser. Once the browser is open to that site, I can direct it to any other site by pointing to a url. Not the way it should work but I just have not had time to push Avast Support to fix it..
