Avast Business Hub | 8.99

Release summary

To protect users’ sensitive data, we are introducing a feature that will automatically log out users after 60 minutes of inactivity (this feature can be turned off). This release also includes general performance enhancements and stability improvements across the application. Several bugs have been identified and resolved to improve overall user experience. Minor updates and optimizations have been made to ensure smoother operation.

Important Changes

  • The “Web Shield” functionality has been renamed to “Web Guard”. Note that endpoint AV clients running on macOS will see this change reflected later this year. For Windows clients, this change was released with the AV version 25.6.

Improvements & optimizations

  • The “Automatic Logout” feature has been introduced – after 60 minutes of inactivity (no clicks, keyboard or mouse action), the user will be automatically logged out of their session. Two minutes before the logout, a message will be displayed to the user asking if they want to keep the session active. The “Automatic Logout” functionality will be enabled by default for all users but can be turned off in the “Your profile” section (a user can open “Your profile” by clicking on their name in the top right corner).
  • The following message has been added to the confirmation dialogue that is displayed when deleting a company: “Please note that any active wallet keys associated with this company will become available for further use after 30 days from deletion date.”
  • Various minor improvements.

Resolved issues

  • Minor fixes.

is this automatic log out for windows? or is it for the Avast App itself?
