Avast can't update "Unknown error" [11.2.2262]

Greetings Avast community.

Recently I updated to the 11.2.2262 of AVAST and since then the program is unable to update.
I already tried to clean uninstall and reinstall the antivirus, however I still face the same problem. The message after the failed update process is the following:
Unknown error
Server: Download k2559335 AVAST9 server
http://k2559335.ivps9x.u.avast.com/ivps9x

I’m on Windows 7 Service Pack 1 in case it means something

Before using Avast? What was your previous antivirus software that came preinstalled with Windows? Uninstall Avast again and follow the instructions. Download and run avast uninstall utility in normal mode and it will ask you that the tool will run your computer in safe mode automatically click on yes and follow the instructions.

After that open the link http://support.eset.com/kb146/?locale=en_US and run your previous antivirus removal tool. Manually run your computer in safe mode and then run your previous antivirus removal tool. After that has been done. Install avast again. Once fully installed restart your computer manually and register your copy of avast.

No, I always had AVAST installed in this computer. The update issue started when I updated to 11.2.2262

Did you try doing a repair of avast via add/remove. Every computer comes with a pre-installed antivirus software (30 trail version) like McAfee and Norton.

Be sure to reboot at least once after running aswclean.exe
