Since the latest update of avast (as far as i can track) i am getting warnings from devices with web based mangement about failed login attempts.
Tracking this down led to me find that avast is now doing a HTTP scan on my network for a number of suspect cgi files. As devices with web -based management have been configured to send alarms on authentication failure, those scans trigger a significant amount of alarms. In a single day those alarms can be over 200 in my small home network.
I also do not want to disable the warnings on those network devices, as those give me valuable information when an attacker tries to break-in. Especially because that means he has managed to get through the firerwall.
How can I control the network scan that avast is doing?
Cheers
Rudy
