Avast Claims edx.org OAUTH flow is Phising

Hello,

We’ve received a report from one of our learners that the Avast browser plugin is claiming that the edx.org site is phising. The warning seems to be coming from when the user attempts to use our Auth workflow to login to the site via google or facebook. The url in question is the confirmation URL that is returned by the OAuth identity provider.

How old is the avast version? Looks to be version 2014.

That’s Avast v7 which IIRC was released in 2011/2012.

Yep, thanks Alikahn.

Wonder why running such an ancient/obsolete version and then complaining?

Nope, that’s Avast Mac Security.

@Feanil: You can report a suspected FP (File/Website) here: https://www.avast.com/false-positive-file-form.php

Ah, was posted in the wrong board.

Hi,
edx.org was a false positive and should be fixed already.
