I run this program frequently. All is well except I continue to get reminders that “…more problems have been found”. It states that my personal ID maybe at risk of being stolen .It quoted 4 seperate items at risk.A link took me to an upgrade page which I actioned and paid for which then enabled me to add certain info to my profile for added personal security.
Having done all this,my simple question is :- Why do I keep getting this message when I have already completed the option to upgrade ?
First I don’t work for Avast, so I can’t speak for them.
As a paying customer if it finds an area that it believes is vulnerable it will offer a product. Personally I don’t like this.
Try changing the Avast General Settings > Notifications - Pop-up notifications treatment - see attached image. I have the Avast Free version and you may have more options.
Thank you David R. for your response. I have gone into my Avast a/c and this service I paid for is up and is running OK. However, I can’t get to the Pop-up notifications treatment as shown in your screen shot, presumably because you have a free version and the process is different. Anyway, thanks for the suggesdtion. Regards.
I believe it should be there - I recall someone else I advised on this and it was there for them.
I don’t think this is an exclusive for the Free version, in effect it will stop some of the pop-up ads for other Avast products.
Certainly in the paid products there should be more options in the Notifications area than there is for the Free product.
I can’t see what you can see, this is why I use screenshots for clarification.
That said I don’t know what other Avast product/s you are using (aside from Avast Cleanup) as you haven’t said. My screenshot is from the Antivirus Product, if you are looking in CleanUp I doubt you would find it.

I have just found another area that may have what you are looking for.
