We are pleased to announce the release of Avast Cleanup 26.9.18896 for Windows.
What are the changes in this release?
-
Shred items straight from the Recycle Bin – Right-click a file or folder in your Recycle Bin to shred it for good, no need to restore it first.
-
Easier multi-device activation – Getting your subscription activated on additional devices is now quicker, right from the Home screen.
-
Faster, more reliable Data Recovery – Broken disks that Windows can see but can’t fully access now show up so you can spot and repair them, large-file recovery (100 MB+) is noticeably quicker, and file names recovered from FAT32 drives are reconstructed more accurately.
-
Smarter Broken Shortcuts detection – Catches more leftover clutter, including old jump-list files that used to slip through.
-
Bugfixes - Fixed a crash while cleaning Browser Cleaner/Browser Data, duplicate disk letters, Data Recovery folder-exclusion and duplicate-result bugs, files landing in a generic “New folder”, incorrect dates in Undo Center, and general UI polish. Avast Cleanup also gets a fix for Software Updater not working without admin rights and incorrect Hebrew pluralization; Avast Cleanup additionally fixes “Go to account” opening outside the default browser.
