Avast Cleanup

I’ve been a free user of Avast for many years (actually, since it was first released, if I remember correctly) and have never had any complaints about the product.
It has secured my computer for many years and when I did have problems, I found quick answers here on the forums board - I understand no product is full proof.

I have noticed, however, recently I’m getting more and more popups from Avast to purchase products and last year I decided to shell out some money for Avast “CleanUp” to analyze and clean up my Windows 10 machine. I was pretty happy with it however it didn’t tell me anything I did not already know and decided a few hours ago to let the product expire, contrary to CONSTANT popups from Avast to renew it.

First off, it’s VERY annoying to get these popups constantly and secondly, there is no way to dismiss them permanently - which is not acceptable.

Lastly, I find it very strange that my license for this product expired just an hour ago after I had just completed a FULL clean up of my system, yet a popup came up after the cleaning stating I had 391 broken registry items (as well as many other issues this product was supposed to resolve). Odd that I had this product yet it didn’t do the job I paid for it to do.

Cannot say I am impressed and would like to know how to suppress further solicitations from the product.

It is not strange, is false advertising and only a fool would stay with such a product - paid or free.
