Avast Context Menu Scan Not Working Since Last Engine Update

Issue started happening AFTER the last Engine Update: 24.5.6116 (build 24.5.9153.839).

By right clicking for the context menu, you should be able to scan a file. The context menu does pop up, but when I click on it, it won’t actually scan the file. Now, if I open Avast and THEN use the context menu, it will actually scan. But IF I minimize Avast, the Context Menu Scan won’t work.

EDIT: I use Avast Premium Security.

Have you done a Restart (or two) since the version update?
I have just tested scanning a single file on Avast free 24.5.6116 (build 24.5.9153.839), not Premium, and it performs as expected.

I surely did. It’s possible Free and Premium have some differences.

Ah. I figured out the problem. I tried SpyShelter (it wasn’t opened), but that seemed to have been causing the issue. Which is weird though, as I’ve had it for a while. I guess the newer Avast version doesn’t like SpyShelter.
