I screwed up by trying to change my sounds setting and want to have the default sounds where a man’s voice says, "You’re Anti-virus has been updated, & the warnings, etc., but can not find anywhere to check default sounds. Can someone please tell me how to get the default sounds back withour uninstalling and re-installing Avast 4.7 Home.

You can change the sounds: Right click the ‘a’ blue icon > Program settings > Sounds > Settings
Browse to avast set of sounds.

Files are normally here: C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\English

The update settings are here:
Right click the blue ‘a’ icon > Program Settings > Update (Basic) > Details…
