Avast detected file "SYMEFA.DB as a virus on my computer

Hello, this is the first time Avast has notified me that my computer is infected with a virus so I’m not sure if there is where I’m supposed to post for assistance.

File: SYMEFA.DB
Severity: High
Status: Threat:Win32:Crypt-RQA [Trj]
Action: Move to Chest
Result: (!)Error: The process cannot access access the file because it is being used by another process (32)

After researching online, it seems that SYMEFA.DB is supposed to be a file from Symantec SEP antivirus that my university requires on our computer. Is it possible that this might be a false positive? In any case, it seems Avast is unable to remove SYMEFA.DB and the folder is inaccessible when I try to locate it manually. Any insight would be appreciated.

Thank you
