Hi Nick.
I have been getting complaints of this in the malware removal forums I help in. I have told users to update to the new SAS 4.1. I take it that it is 4.1 that is being flagged as malicious? I’m running both SAS 4.1 and Avast and have not had any problems.
The File name is C:\Program files\ SuperAntiSpyware\SuperAntiSpyware.exe. The Malware name is Win32 Trojan-gen and the Malware type is Virus/Worm.
this problem is solved with the last VPS afaik…
I am using the latest SAS and still have problem. Had to turn off standard shield. Am I doing something wrong? ???
Well I didn’t get any alert using the latest version of SAS, so have you got the latest version of SAS and more importantly the latest VPS update ?
As Maxx said the FP is corrected even in the old version of SAS with the latest VPS. This has been reported on two other topics relating to this problem.
Hi David,
Thank you for the quick response. I will check this evening. Perhaps I am behind on SAS version.
Even if you are behind in the SAS updates, the avast latest VPS update should correct the FP, but it is always best to have the latest versions of security software like SAS.
