Avast detects Kaspersky as a virus ?

So, I checked something on my old PC I wanted to upgrade it… I had still Kaspersky Pure 3.0 installed for 13 days.

Now I installed Avast and ran a s can, and what ya think i found ?

An ADW trojan! What does that mean Kaspersky is a virus or what ?

it is very common for security programs to detect other security programs, it is called program conflict… they contain virus signatures
one of the reasons why you should never install multiple AV

Hi Mr.Online,

A main rule to never forget is that you cannot have two resident av solutions together on one computer.
It is just like having two guard dogs in front of your portal. In stead of better protection the dogs start to fight among each other. So the one resident av is going after the other’s signatures and you get less protection in stead of added protection.
Some programs can work next to each other like avast and SAS or MBAM or other on demand tools.

Look!

The original isn’t shown as a infection…

But I got another in Internet

It actually should be saved in Downloads.

My question here is how did it download itself ? ? The virus the fake Kaspersky HOW ?!

Did you uninstall Kaspersky’s completely before installing avast and scanning?
If not we have giving you the answer. Look at the picture to see what has happened.
