avast detects malware Win-32 gen in a Pinnacle file

Today, after start my computer Avast has detected the virus Win-32 Malware gen in the file C:/ WINDOWS/system32/PSDrvCheck.exe.
This file is on my computer for over two years, which has not been modified since 2004 and is a Pinnacle process.
Someone knows if this alarm could be an a new error from Avast ?
Please let me know.

We have had a few workstations on our network with the same issue this morning.

some files with this filename arrived to us – if it is the same issue it will be fixed in next VPS update. If the next update don’t fix it then send us (virus@avast.com) the file and put “False positive” to subject.

We are now having the same problem with C:\Windows\System32\hkcmd.exe. A lot of our workstations are now showing a Win-32 Malware gen virus in that file.

no submits with this filename and detection “Win32:Malware-gen” arrived to us.
Send us (virus@avast.com) the file to analyze and put “False positive” to subject.
