Avast doesn't load at startup (SOLVED)

Hi. My Avast doesn’t start at Windows startup. I don’t see the Avast tray icon. I had the latest Avast version throug update, so I did a clean install today with the latest version of Avast and I’m having the same problem.

I started the Windows Start Manager and there’s two Avast services running, but the antivirus is not working. Instead, I have right now a Windows alert that reads “Turn On Windows Security Center Service”.

I didn’t do anything special in my laptop. No new software or anything. Just browsing around with Google Chrome.

What previous antivirus did you have prior to Avast? Did you do a repair of avast via add/remove?

  • I had the previous version of Avast 2015. I did an Update trough the software when 2015 arrived.

Did you do a repair of avast via add/remove?

  • No, I did a clean install because fro some reason, Avast wasn’t working at startup and when I tried to start the software from my start menu, it didn’t. So I did a Clean install.

Edit:

I did a repair via add/remove. No diference. Avast isn’t running. I tried so many things and nothing. Tried cleaning Windows with Ccleaner, Defrag the HDD, Defrag the Registry, Optimizing Windows, Installing the latest windows update… installing Avast from fresh and nothing…

Did you do a clean install like this ?

Download Avast! Uninstall Utility to your Desktop.
Download the correct version of Avast!

Avast! Free
Avast! Pro
Avast! Internet Security
Avast! Premier

Disconnect from the internet.
Uninstall Avast via control panel.

Run the uninstall tool and accept the reboot to safe mode.
Once complete reboot your system.
Reinstall Avast!
