Hello Avast community, I have a question about the Avast Driver Updater app. Yesterday, it told me I had 5 outdated drivers, no problem, I had them all updated. However two of these drivers, Intel(R) Gaussian Mixture Model v. 10.1.7.3 and Intel(R) PCIe Controller (x16) v. 10.1.7.3 are still “out of date” according to ADU. They are the same version but the difference is the date they were released. The ones I currently have installed were released on 12/17/18. The ones ADU are offering me were released on 1/9/19. I have searched the web far and wide for the same drivers released on the date mentioned (1/9/19) but to no avail. The only sites I found where this driver with that specific date offered either are shady sites that install a driver updater instead of the driver itself, which could be malicious. Some sites show the driver, but for some odd reason, the driver cannot be downloaded. I am starting to think that this may be a bug with ADU. To show proof of this, I have attached two screenshots of the two drivers that are “outdated”. Thank you for reading and have a good day.
Hi, I forwarded it.
Thank you so much
You’re welcome.
I’m glad I’m not the only one with this issue. It’s starting to vex me when I log on to my PC and immediately greeted with a screen saying “You have 2 drivers out of date” even though this isn’t case. I’m praying that the next version of ADU will resolve this.
Hello,
we checked all related drivers in our database. The offered drivers from Jan 2019 are offered from Microsoft.
But the correct date of the driver is “2019-01-10” instead of “2019-01-09” as it is displayed in the Driver Updater.
Therefore, it would be good if you could create log files and upload them here, so that we can investigate this further.
Please execute a manual scan before you create the log files. To create the log files please use the “Avast Log Collector” (“C:\Program Files\Avast Software\Driver Updater\dulogcollector.exe”)
Many thanks in advance!
Hello Markus, that is odd to know. Because the drivers I have I also downloaded from Microsoft. Microsoft Update Catalog that is. This is where I get ALL my drivers from. However, if you could, please link to me the website where you found these drivers off of. Until then, I’ll leave you with a link to both drivers on the update catalog site and send the longs on over.
Happy regards,
David

Hello Markus,
As a follow up to yesterday, did you receive the logs I sent to Avast? Please advise.
Many thanks,
David
Hello David,
first of all thanks for providing the log files. Unfortunately, I can’t see much from the log files as it appears you reinstalled Avast Driver Updater on 05/06/2021 and the newly installed program has not yet performed a scan. So I would ask you to run a scan (via the “Scan again” link on the main page) and then send the log files again. Thank you for your patience and assistance!
Best regards,
Markus
