AVAST DRIVER UPDATER

I installed this program a few days ago through pure curiosity.

But, this program includes two serious Pup’s, considered generally as a threat by the Web -

The Pup’s are -

  1. PUP.Optional.Legacy : Registry - C:\Windows\System32\drivers\swdumon.sys
  2. PUP.Optional.SlimCleanerPlus : File - HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\SlimWare Utilities Inc

Although a scan by Malwarebytes AdwCleaner found them and deleted them, they are linked to restart
and simply came back again on restart. I could not get rid of them.

Finally I uninstalled Avast Driver Updater using Revo Uninstaller to ensure all the left-overs
were deleted.
A new scan showed these Pup’s had then gone and they have not come back.

Avast Driver Updater ? Not for me thank you.
