avast endpoint protection disables LANDesk remote control

We are busily installing Avast Endpoint Protection 8 on our network. For years, we have been using LANDesk to manage workstations, updates and for remote control

After installing Avast 8 on any workstation, LANDesk remote control ceases to be able to establish a remote control session with that computer. If Windows firewall is disabled, remote control works again. Clearly, Avast is making some change in the firewall. Is this documented anywhere, or is there a place in the Avast menus to re-enable LANDesk remote control functions?

Thanks

Do you have the Avast firewall on?

Was the windows firewall actually turned on before Avast installed? i.e. was it running as a standard setting in your domain.

If it was running it sounds like manual rules set in the firewall for allowing LANdesk have been whiped.
If you (for testing purpose) uninstall Avast without touching anything else, can you connect then?

I would advise to lookup the ports needed for LANdesk and put them in a grouppolicy setting as rules for the windows firewall OR if you have Avast firewall, in Avast.
