avast! endpoint protection not retaining configured settings

Hello,
1st post here, and I did do alot of looking through the forums and I don’t see where my specific question has been asked or answered anywhere. That being said, my question is; as the subject suggests, that endpoint protection suite is not retaining the settings I have configured for email attachment blocking. I am using exchange server, and have the appropriate setting in avast! for exchange. When I add a file type to blocked the setting stays in effect for some period of time, and then just disappears. I know that when I restart the server it causes the settings to disappear, not sure about what other events cause this happen but I do know that the configured settings do vanish. I have to input them again, and all is good for awhile. Is there a way to get the configuration settings to be permanent? (i.e. blocking .exe files from being attached) Thanks in advance for any help.

Are you using any avast! console (AEA or ASOA)?

If yes, you have to configure your Exchange parameters in the console, not local machine.

Hi, I’m having the same issue and tried to find a way of changing settings (per client of all clients the same setting) via Small Office Administration, but don’t see any option available to do so.
Can you guide me to where I can find this option?

The avast! Settings are only per group. You will find the settings in: avast! SOA > NETWORK > Group View > Edit group settings.
