Avast EPS and JSCRIPT.DLL Errors

We had Avast 4.8 Pro prior. We uninstall 4.8 Pro - restart the computer. Install the new EPS client. Nearly all our computers are getting IE9 crashes (Windows 7 Pro) with some websites. Here is the event log - same for every user.

We’ve tried running (elevated) regsvr32 jscript.dll, which re-registers the jscript.dll file. However, this seems to not fix the issue. With 4.8 Pro we did not have this problem. Can someone please help me fix this, as I have too many computers to roll out that I can’t have this type of crashing.

Thanks!

No one has had this problem? We figured it out - it’s Acrobat 9 series causing the crashing. Either Acrobat 9 Standard, Pro, or Reader 9. Upgrading the clients to Acrobat X Standard, Pro, or Reader X, or Reader XI seems to solve the crashing with jscript.dll.

These errors weren’t there with Avast 4.8 Pro - so something in the new EPS brought the error to the surface, but at least we know how to resolve.

We have a few 32-bit Vista machines with Acrobat 9 Pro and have not had this issue. Though our first Avast! version was 6.x, we had a different AV vendor prior.
