Avast firewall blocking Wifiman Teleport

Hi,

When Avast firewall is active, I can’t get Wifiman desktop app to establish and keep the teleport VPN connection. It disconnects right after the connection.

I tried enabling the Wifiman and wifiman-desktopd in firewall’s App rules by enabling (allow) the default rule (all protocols, in/out allowed), but it doesn’t help.

Each time I try to establish the Teleport VPN connection, Wifiman creates a new network interface called utun , so I can’t add such network as trusted.

Any hints how to configure Avast to not interrupt this traffic?

Btw, I have identical setup on an old Windows 10 PC and it just works there. It doesn’t work on my new Windows 11 laptop.

First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.
Although I have a VPN (not Avast) I rarely use it, but when I do it works and I haven’t made any specific changes to allow it.

You don’t give any information Avast Program and version number you are using, or your Avast Firewall or Network Inspector settings.

These two components could have an impact on connections made or even blocked.

You man be able to add these programs to the Avast Exclusions.
