Please refer to the attached 2.jpg file. Why is it showing as Avast Firewall?
Refer to 1.jpg please. It shows two firewalls are running. Should I uninstall Vista Firewall Control or is it normal?

There’s nothing like “avast! Firewall” (yet) so the Dell TuneUp thing is obviously confused…
Like Dell itself ;D

Did Dell get a heads up or, where does this information come from???
My Dell also shows it:
Thanx Bob. I thought there was something wrong with my system but now I know it is Dell itself.
Dell tune up wizard is shareware and costs some money. Am I correct? Is it safe to uninstall this and live without it? What is a freeware substitute for this? On my XP machine (not supplied by Dell), I never had any such things. Can we live without such things with Vista?

I have no idea. They definitely haven’t gotten any heads up from us AFAIK
Is it possible that it is detecting the Network Shield and thinking that it is a full firewall ?

Go here and grab the Givaway of the Day (Glary Utilities PRO ) It works well on Vista. :)

I doubt that.
Computer misunderstanding I assume - avast is not firewall so probably computer messed up some simple calculations
computer messed up some simple calculationsMost likely an error in the Dell program (script) used.
