Any idea if Avast will be releasing a version for the Iphone. We have several clients that are transitioning to Iphones and will need protection.
Sorry, but we do not plan to support iPhones soon. It’s not necessary yet to develop it.
Dear avast team,
I think you need to see in to the future business strategy, that so far as i know there is no other brands from antivirus products which have iPhone or BlackBerry protection.
It would be challenging if avast team could do the first release to pick up your brand image through those technology.

There are very few pieces of Malware for Mobile devices. As pk said, its not necessary for Avast to develop a version for mobile phones yet.

It was my opinion for ALWIL Software, but in terms of business strategy to develop the market i think it necessary need. So back to ALWIL Software again, each companies have their own strategy.

I’m enjoying malware free iPhone for now. I know this won’t last forever though. :-[ Hopefully there will be good solutions when the time comes!

it’s possible to get malware on any electronic device connected to a network…just some are less targeted then others, as well as to some extent, some are less vulnerable than others, and for now, Windows holds the crown ;D
