Avast for Linux

Does anyone have any experience with Avast on Linux? Are there any differences in how it works with different distros, debian vs bsd, etc.?

Sorry, we have not used it with Linux. :frowning:

Thanks for replying. I suspected that there has not been a lot of MSP’s implementing Avast on Linux. I certainly do not see any evidence that it can be integrated with Cloud Care but I thought I would ask anyways. :slightly_smiling_face:

Avast Business Antivirus for Linux cannot be managed from Avast Business Hub or Avast CloudCare. Avast Business Antivirus for Linux is a stand-alone installation.

Thanks for the PDF! Looking over this doc it mentions an API is available. I also looked over the API which is a REST API that appears to only provide the ability to request a scan and to retrieve the results of that scan. If you desire, they provide a sample snippet of code in Python. In other words, no provided centralized management. At least the API does provide the ability to launch a scan that could be executed from something like Zabbix (a host monitoring system) and provide the results of the scan so that you can be alerted if need be.

Would be nice if Avast for Linux could be managed by Avast CloudCare.
