Avast Forum question

Am I allowed to request deletion of my posts or topics in Avast! forum?

Sure, but if anyone already answered/posted there, it probably will stay.

OK. But what if I mistakenly post in some topics that are not to be seen in other’s thread in “viruses and worms”?

Sorry, not sure what you mean.

There shouldn’t be much call for people to post in the “viruses and worms” topic, unless you have a virus problem or are one of the ‘qualified malware removal specialists’ there should be little need to post.

It is better to think first, is there a requirement for me to post, rather than ‘mistakenly’ post and have to seek deletion after the fact.

Here is some advice…

You mean I will receive the warning from mods if I post mistakenly in “Viruses and Worms” section?

I guess it won’t go unnoticed as I certainly will go there everyday
(together with some others) to look into all that is being posted there.
The virus and worms is where we “hold your pulse”
that is so great and unique about these support forums.

I don’t see how it can be a mistaken post and it would certainly depend on what was posted - if it were advice on removal of malware - only qualified malware removal specialists can post removal advice. Then there is a possibility that you would get a warning.

I still can’t get a handle on how to post mistakenly bit - if you do and realise it immediately - then use the modify button and remove the content. Replace it with - Edited, intentional deletion please remove post.

I’m not sure I understand the specific purpose of this Topic. ???

To me it’s as important as the last thread about the other forum where this user was banned.
Sorry but, follow the advice to read twice before you hit the send button.
It takes some serious offenses to get banned from here.

In Avast! Forum, can the user having username with abbreviations being offensive (such as “wtf”, “gtfo”, “stfu” and the like) be likewise banned?

Thanks.

I certainly hope so.

edit: Please start posting something that is actually pertinent to avast.

See: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=93015.0

As far as I’m concerned, this entire topic is just more forum spam.
There is nothing of any substance or anything related to an actual question in this entire thread. :frowning:

If questions posed are not related to avast issues or avast technical problems, then it is spam. Which is why think first is best advice given.

Thanks for the answer.

You’re welcome.

Am I not allowed to “grammar harass” other users for poor grammar usage within this forum?
