me gustaria saber como se actualiza el dichoso antivirus, no puede actualizar el 4.8 ni ahora el 5.0 en ambos me sale un mensaje de error de comunicacion con el servidor… lo he intentado todo, la conexion el cortafuegos la desisntalicion, y nada no puedo, alguien sabe porque ocurre y como solucionarlo?

Hola, dime que es exactamente el mensaje de error que te aparece, que windows usas, que firewall tienes y si usas otro antivirus ademas de avast.

Intenta descargar el desinstalador de avast desde http://www.avast.com/esp/avast-uninstall-utility.html y ejecutalo(funciona solo para la version 4.8 ) y luego vuelve a instalarlo. Si instalas la version 4.8 haz clic en el icono de avast en la barra de estado y selecciona ACTUALIZAR y luego ACTUALIZAR LA BASE DE DATOS.

I suggest an installation from the scratch:

  1. Download the latest version of avast! Uninstall Utility and save it.
  2. Download the latest avast! version and save it.
  3. Uninstall avast from Control Panel (if possible). If, for any reason, you can’t run it, try booting in Safe Mode and doing it from there. Anyway, boot after that.
  4. Run the avast! Uninstall Utility saved on 1. If, for any reason, you can’t run it, try booting in Safe Mode and doing it from there. Anyway, boot after you’ve run it.
  5. Install avast! using the setup saved on 2. It will be good to accept the boot time scanning. Boot.
  6. Insert the license key.
  7. Check and post the results.

Hola de nuevo ¡contestando a vuestra pregunta diré que: Tengo el Windows Vista, con el cortafuegos de origen (el defender)y no tengo ningún antivirus, si un antispyware ad-aware, y saber para que es necesario descargar el desinstalador si lo que yo quiero es actualizarlo no desinstalarlo?

Te digo que descargues el desinstalador porque asi se eliminan todos los rastros de avast, incluyendo las entradas en el registro de windows y por supuesto, lo vuelves a instalar despues. Y para aclararte que Windows Defender no es cortafuegos sino que un antispyware por lo que a lo mejor este generando conflictos que tengas tambien el ad-aware, si tienes la version de pago del ad-aware y tienes activado el Ad-Watch desactiva el Defender porque no puedes tener 2 antivirus o 2 antispywares ejecutandose al mismo tiempo.

I speak in spanish because maybe minin don’t understand english and there is nothing better than receiving support in the native language, I tell you from personal experience because sometimes I don’t understand some words in the English ;D

it is in central america…many countries there and further south have a national laguage of Spanish (or I think a variant) Think of Tech, in Brazil, he speaks/understands spanish as the local language is portugese which is very similar to spanish.

In El Salvador and throughout Central America and much countries of South America the official language is Spanish, that’s why I don’t speak very good English. But in my future replies promise that if I reply in Spanish I will translate into English too 8)

That much is true, malberto, and this forum is from the Czech Republic whose language is also not English. Their language is Czech (not even close to being English) but they chose English as the official language of the forum. And so, since it is their forum, that is the way it is.

You have a good idea to post both in Spanish and English. Even if the translation to English is not perfect, most of us will be able to understand the translation.

By the way, I understand a little Spanish from having spent much time in Mexico.
