Just need to know if I have to exclude MBAM Premium in Avast Free and if so, where to add the exclusions to?
There are at least 3 places in Avast! where exclusions can be put in so I am not sure where to put the exclusions in. If exclusions are not necessary then please let me know that as well.
Maybe not needed but safer to have exclusions imo to reduce future issues, it helps the system to run a bit lighter as well so both programs aren’t scanning each other constantly.
You can add the Malwarebytes program folder to the Avast exclusions in " Settings/ General/ Exclusions, then do the same with the Avast program folder in the Malwarebytes exclusions.
Thanks CraigB for the info. However I saw this link: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=170551.0 and the solution given by Rednose is different as what you suggested. Now I am confused and don’t know what to do.
So what is the proper way of excluding MBAM Premium and Avast! free from each other?
Yes, there will always be differences in experiences
Having said that, I personally have used Avast and MBam for years and have only excluded ‘mutual’ folders as Craigb suggested.
But either way should work.
