Hi - I am an absolute novice at computers but have got this problem. When this happens I cannot access the internet either - as soon as I open the interface and click the restart all is fine…for about 5 - 10 minutes. I have run the avast scan with nothing coming up and also run the malwarebytes anti-malware with same result - any ideas would be appreciated - cheers - Grant

- Which AV(s) did you use before Avast…?
32 bit Windows XP SP3 I think - have also got Malwarebytes Anti Malware - I have read the hints on your main message board so have run the logs etc as described but as i say I am an absolute novice at all this stuff so not sure what to do next
