I encountered a weird issue while trying to install Avast Free Antivirus recently. During the installation process, I got two errors:
When trying to do an overinstall/update, it shows “country block”.
When customizing components, it says: “There was an error while changing the product configuration”.
After testing, I found that this only happens when connecting from a Chinese IP address. Switching to a non-Chinese IP (via VPN) allows the installation to proceed normally.
Has anyone else faced similar problems? Does this mean Avast is intentionally blocking users from China? Or is it due to some regional server/config issue?
Would appreciate any insights or fixes! Thanks in advance.
I believe there are blocks on certain countrys where this software is banned for use but no idea which countrys this includes.
