Avast Free Antivirus, offline installer

I found 2 offline link for Avast Free Antivirus, but there is a difference in size.

https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_free_antivirus_setup_offline.exe (643 MB)

Avast Offline Installation Files | Avast (803 MB)

Anyone knows the difference between them?

@serasan The first link is for “old” v26.3, which has a bug: the menu item for selecting notification modes does not appear. If this bug doesn’t bother you, you can use it.

That’s why an updated version of “new” v26.3 was released three days later—the second link; it’s 160 MB larger.

@aldist Thank you.

@serasan Another fresh install v26.1 on Windows 10. The screenshots make everything clear.

@aldist Installed Avast Free from the second link, as following…

  1. Installed (with no connection) Avast Free and, as you said, there wasn’t “custom install” option. After Install the banner show “Avast Premium”. Reboot.

  2. uninstalled all the extra stuff (with no connection). Reboot.

  3. Opened Avast and it showed again “Avast Premium” switched on the internet connection and it changed to “Free Antivirus”.

I did this yesterday and, so far, everything it’s fine.

Some how, the program version and build changed again (no any update was done) and “Premium Security” reappears again!

What is Avast doing, why doesn’t it solve this problem?
