Avast free for Android can't update VPS

Hi,

I installed Avast free for Android on my cell phone. However, when running the first scan, the app said that I needed to update the virus definitions. When I tapped on “solve”, a notification popped up saying that there was an error and that I needed to check my Internet connection.

There’s no problem with my internet connection whatsoever (I’m using Wi-fi). I also checked the app’s “events log”, and there were two notifications that read “VPS update error”.

I have also gone to “settings”, “apps”, “avast”, “storage”, and cleared the app’s cache and data. I also “forced” the app to close, and then cleared cache and data, but Avast is still unable to update the VPS.

I also uninstalled and reinstalled the app 3 times, and the VPS problem is still there.

What can I do? This is really frustrating.

6.15.1

I thought that I was going to get some help here. I was wrong. Time to look for another antivirus for my phone.

Hi, our apologies for the delay, caused by the Christmas holiday.
There has been a VPS update issue, the actual definitions are up-to-date, only the date is incorrect.
We are working on a fix, thanks for understanding.
