Hi forum,
I run Avast Free on several PCs. But on my desktop PC (Win 7) I have the following problem:
When I start the PC the Avast icon in the taskbar shows a yellow “!”.
When I enter the GUI Avast says protection is not active and offers a button to activate it
which seems to work without problems.
But why doesn’t the protection start automatically?
I’m not aware of any settings causing this.
Avast Free 18.7.2354 (newest).

When my PC starts there is a few seconds period ( 30 secs at most) that I get the exclamation mark and when I hover my cursor over it it says that my system is not fully protected. After that it goes back to normal.
That’s not normal.

Control Panel> Program and Features (Add/remove program)>Select Avast> Select Repair. Reboot when completed
